Samantha attended Riverhead High School but later finished her education at Job Corps, where she earned her G.E.D. After graduating, she worked in Long Island before relocating to Rochester, NY, with her mother and brother in the early ‘90s. She went on to dedicate over 20 years working for the Rochester Public Library, interacting with and participating in her community. She loved her job and everything about it, making lasting connections and positively impacting those around her.
For over 25 years, Samantha was a proud and active member of TILC Church, where her heart for service and selflessness truly shined. She had a gift for caring for others, always putting family and friends first. She was the glue that held everyone together, making sure those around her felt loved and supported.
In her free time, Samantha loved volunteering for the homeless, cooking at her church, and simply being surrounded by family and friends. And if you knew her well, you knew she loved a good trip to the casino!
Samantha’s presence was a blessing to all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her love, kindness, warmth, unwavering generosity, and her selflessness.
Sadly, Samantha’s sunset came on February 14, 2025. She leaves behind to mourn her passing: her husband, Ramon Santos Sr.; her sons, Ramon Santos Jr. and Leon Richard Cooper; her brother, Andrew King; as well as aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews, cousins, a host of friends, and her beloved Godchildren.
Even though she has been called home to God, she will be truly missed by her beloved children and all who loved her.
A visitation for Samantha will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave, Rochester, New York 14624, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
