Theresa Ann Scheck

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Nicholas Bucciarelli; her siblings Michael, Frank (Frankie), Clara, Nicholas Jr, Joesph (Joey) and John (Johnny) Bucciarelli; her beloved husband, Edwin Scheck Sr.; and her daughter, Christine Scheck.

Theresa is survived by her loving children, Edwin Scheck Jr., Cynthia (Partridge) Scheck, and Brian Scheck. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Trisha, who also served as her caregiver, as well as grandchildren Crystal, Brian Jr., Jennifer, Heather, Ashley, and Brandon. She leaves behind a lasting legacy through her 13 great-grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of Rochester, New York, Theresa resided in Henrietta for many years. Widowed at a young age, she never remarried and devoted her life to her family. In her early years, she worked as a model, known for her grace and confidence. Throughout her life, she embraced many roles and was never afraid of hard work, including employment at Monroe Reprographics, selling newspapers for the Democrat and Chronicle, and later working at D&K and the Howard Johnson Hotel.

Theresa found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved music, especially the “solid gold” oldies of Elvis Presley, Chubby Checker, and The Beach Boys. She enjoyed daily walks, watching her favorite soap operas along with western movies and mysteries shows. Completing crossword puzzles and playing card games such as gin rummy while enjoying her favorite ice cream, Maple Walnut, and Lays Potato Chips. She was also a devoted woman of faith who attended church regularly, drawing strength and comfort from her beliefs.

Theresa will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strong work ethic, her warmth, and her enduring love of life’s everyday joys.

Calling hours will be held at Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave, Rochester, NY 14624, on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave, Rochester, NY 14624, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 am.

A Committal Service will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1133 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester, NY 14620, on May 16, 2026.
