A long time ago, I couldn’t tell u when or why she said it, my grandma told me “don’t be sorry for me when I go my darling”. And i remember crying at the very thought and dreading the day without my special friend.
But now that she’s left, i feel we are all hard pressed to feel sorrow, but happiness and pride. I’m sorry that i can’t hang out with her and have our talks anymore. But she had the best life any of us could ask for. She saw more history unfold, more joy (and sorrow), grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren than most of us will ever see. She adored us all & knew til her last breath how much we all adored her. She’s with our family and friends, and cradling my babies in heaven that we didn’t get to meet on earth. I feel honor and gratitude for having her, the sadness of her absence, but not sorrow.

Dolores and Family, you have been through so much this year. If I could take any of the sadness from you, please know I would. Dolores, you learned so much from your mother that you are now passing on to your daughters, including your mother's strength through adversity. I love you, and you are in my daily thoughts and prayers.
