

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Cassidy; his first wife, Jeanne Cassidy; his son, Mark Cassidy; sister, Bonnie Follett; and parents, Michael and Madeline Cassidy.
He is survived by his beloved daughters, Debra, Bonnie, and Kristin; daughter-in-law, Erin; grandchildren, Patrick, James (Lily), Dylan, Michael (Emily), Elizabeth, Ashley, and Lauren; brother, George (Pat); brother-in-law, Ronnie Follett; a niece, several nephews, and many dear friends.
Bill grew up in Rochester, NY and graduated from West High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served for four years. He would go on to have a career working for Rochester Products, from which he would retire after over 25 years.
He was a longtime member of Chili American Legion Post 1830. He was a die-hard fan of the Buffalo Bills, enjoyed traveling, and loved watching old movies on Turner Classic Movies.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-7PM on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, July 28th, at St. Pius X Church, 3010 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. He will be laid to rest at Maplewood Cemetery, Henrietta, NY.
