

A life-long Rochester resident, Bill was a 1972 graduate of Penfield High School. He earned an Associate’s Degree from MCC, a Bachelor’s Degree from RIT, and a Master’s Degree from U of R Simon School; all in business.
Bill worked at Delco/ITT/Valeo from 1983 to 2004. He also worked at ITT Space Systems/L3Harris as a scheduler from 2005 until he retired in 2017. He was especially proud of his work on the James Webb Space Telescope, which launched in 2021.
Bill was a parishioner at St. Pius X, where he was active in parish events, and a member of the Knights of Columbus (treasurer). He was heavily involved with YMCA Adventure Guides program and volunteered with Troop 90, where each of his three sons earned their Eagle Scout. Bill also served his community by volunteering as a tax preparer for various organizations for many years and donating platelets via apheresis (200+ times).
Bill is predeceased by his parents Paul & Thelma (Smith) Ludwig and his son, Bryan (2021). He is survived by his wife, Karen, of 32 years; sons, Eric (Jaime) of Marion, NY, and Adam (Jacquie) of Rochester; granddaughter, Brynn Grace; siblings, Meredith Fingar (Ontario, NY) and Robert Ludwig (Macedon); nieces and nephew, and great nieces and nephews.
As per Bill’s wishes, a private family service and interment will take place at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford NY.
