Awaiting her were the many who preceded her in death; including her parents, Jim and Annie Durkin, her husband Jim, her children, Kevin, Eileen, Kathleen, and baby Brian; her sister-in-law Patricia Durkin, and brothers-in-law, Paul Hastings and Brian Kelly.
Among those left to carry on her spirit are her son, Michael Lyons, grandchildren Shane and Keely, and their mother, Janine; brother, PJ Durkin of Ireland, sister Mary Hastings of Florida, sister Eileen Kelly of Ireland; and many nieces and nephews in Ireland, Australia, and the United States.
As a member of the University of Rochester Anatomical Gift Program, Winnie was proud to designate her body to science in the light of assisting and furthering medicine for the good of humankind.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home.
