

Albert A. Buckenheimer Sr., age 73, of Ohioville, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born January 12, 1951, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Walter and Alice (Vogel) Buckenheimer. There was nothing more important to Al than his family. He retired from Inmetco in Ellwood City, and previous to that, he worked at Saint Joe Lead in Monaca. He was a member of the Rochester Turners and held office for over 40 years. He was an avid bowler, hunter and fisherman. Al donated blood to the Red Cross for over 40 years. He was a coach for many years for youth football in both Midland and Raccoon Township. More than anything, Al enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years; Wandra (Fugitt) Buckenheimer; two sons; Albert A. Buckenheimer Jr., Walter 'Tubby' (Charity) Buckenheimer, and one daughter; Margarett (Germaine) McCormick. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; Albert 'Bret' III, Isabella, Chloe, Jordan, Jimmy, Joscelyn, Marquez, Dayton and Laela; one brother; Walter J. (Tina) Buckenheimer, as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister; Alice Harriett Buckenheimer, and his loving dog Zoey.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 2pm until the time of funeral services at 5pm at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
