Alfred A. Arnoldi (Fred Arnold), 95, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2011 at the Butler VNA Hospice after a brief illness. He was born March 3, 1916 in Monessen, Pa, a son of the late Bernardo and Louise Arnoldi.
He was a veteran of WW II having served in the US Coast Guard. He was a self employed mason and worked with his son until he was 84 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Arnoldi whom he married March 9, 1973; a sister, Mary Vernet of Monessen; three sons, Alfred and wife Annie of Thompson Station, TN., Bruce and wife Marilyn of Gallatin, TN., and Douglas and wife Paula of Renfrew, Pa, two daughters Kathy Baiardo of Butler, Pa and Karen and husband Michael St Esprit of New Brighton, Pa.; twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sophie, two brothers and two sisters. He was a treasured member of the family and will be sadly missed.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2pm until the time of funeral service at 3:30pm in the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc., 273 Rt. 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
Full military honors will be extended by the members of the Beaver County Special Unit at 3:30 pm on Friday in the funeral home.
Alfred and his family request in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to Butler VNA Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, Pa 16001.
