Barbara Jo Harvey, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in August 2025 in Orlando, Florida. Born on June 7, 1952, Barbara lived a life full of adventure, strength, and devotion to her family. She previously resided in California and Pennsylvania, carrying with her a vibrant spirit that touched those around her.

Barbara was the proud mother of three children: Christine Laughlin, Victoria Kramer (William Kramer), and Paul Harvey (Jaime Harvey). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Emily Laughlin, Melanie Laughlin, Noah Laughlin, Ryan Kramer, Mason Kramer, Aiden Harvey, Gavin Harvey, and Evelyn Harvey — all of whom lovingly knew her as “GG.”

Barbara had a deep love for travel, embracing the beauty of each place with curiosity and enthusiasm. She especially loved sitting on the beaches of Hawaii, listening to the waves — a simple joy that brought her peace and happiness. She also found great joy in the changing of seasons, especially the vibrant colors of autumn leaves. No autumn would be complete without cheering on her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Some of the most treasured memories of Barbara are of her laughing and playing with her grandchildren, often singing silly songs that filled the room with laughter. Her bond with them was filled with warmth, joy, and unforgettable moments that will be cherished forever.

Her life was marked by independence, resilience, and a strong sense of self. She will be remembered for her unique perspective, her adventurous spirit, and the special bond she shared with her family.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Barbara’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her honor.
