Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Michael Dengel Jr. She was the last remaining child of Frank Seiling and Mary Theresa Fickers-Seiling, her siblings were; brothers, Frank, Joe, Herman, James, Carl, Edward and her sister, Marie. A daughter in law Patricia-Cunningham Dengel also preceded her.
Gram is survived by her son Michael Dengel III (Diana), her daughters Carol Palmer and Joyce Grimes (Dennis). Also surviving are granddaughters; Lisa Stacho (John), Heather Dengel-Butcher, Michelle Dengel and Nicholle Dengel, great granddaughters; Kelly Hunt, Patricia Butcher & Aspen Roberts as well as many nieces and nephews. Gram is also survived by her beloved dog, Baby, they shared many cookies and candy bars together while relaxing in their recliner watching Animal Planet.
Gram was an eager homemaker and enthusiastic seamstress for her family turning out dresses, and various other creations, including wedding attire and her, family favorite, window curtins. She was a long time member at the House of Prayer Lutheran church, when Gram was no longer able to attend services she was delighted when members of the church would send cards and visit with her. Gram enjoyed staying up to date through reading the weekly bulletins and the monthly Evangelist.
Gram’s favorites were her granddaughters and great granddaughters, her smiles were never bigger then when one of them walked into the room.
It was Gram’s wish to be at home, with the support of the Good Samaritan hospice nurses and the unselfish dedication of our sister Carol, she was comfortable and at peace when she left us to reside in the house that our Lord Jesus has prepared for us all.
It was Gram’s wish that there will be no viewing. Friends and relatives will gather 2 p.m., Monday, July 21, 2014 at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum) for a funeral service, with her pastor, Rev. Michael Sourwine, officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.
Gram requested “no flowers” at the funeral. She asked that any memorial contributions be made to the House of Prayer Special Needs Fund, 2100 Irwin St, Aliquippa, Pa. 15001, to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Rd.
