Betty Lou Blair, 91, of Wampum passed on Sunday, April 29, 2018. She was born April 22, 1927 in Ellwood City, daughter of the late William and Catherine (Locke) Martin. Betty Lou was a Gold Star Mother, Auxiliary Member of the American Legion and V.F.W., and member of Chewton Christian Church. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling.
In addition to her parents, Betty Lou was preceded by her first husband: James Alvin Bowers; second husband Arthur Blair; son: William James Bowers, killed in action proudly serving his Country during the Vietnam War; her brothers: James Arthur Martin, Walter Joseph Martin; sisters: Dorothy Mae Martin and Evelyn Ruth Barkey.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Barbara (Howard) Wiley; two grandchildren: Kimberly Ann Staph and Sherry Lee (Scott) Penwell; two great grandchildren: Garrison Howard Staph and Lucas Allen Penwell; one brother: Robert E. Martin; a sister: Marion Downey; nieces, nephews and extended family.
