Betty Jean Burg

Betty J. Burg, 91, of Beaver, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 19, 2016 in Friendship Ridge. She was born August 31, 1925 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Margaret (Naab) Lyman. Betty was a secretary at Westinghouse Beaver. She enjoyed many hobbies and activities and lived life to the fullest.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mearl Wilbert Burg (1986) and her brother, Fred Jr.

She is survived by her children, Charles (Raeann) Burg of Brighton Twp. and Lynn (Edward) Teets of Rochester; her grandchildren, Lynn (John) Howard, Edward (Elisa) Teets, Jr., Shellee (David) Higgins, Sue (Dee) Briggs, Charlie (Erica) Burg and Cristen (Ken) McCoy; 13 great-grandchildren.

Cremation arrangements were handled by the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester with inurnment at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Betty J. Burg is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the NEW BRIGHTON CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY, 1810 Valley Avenue, corner of Valley Avenue and Mercer Road, Route 65, New Brighton. The Service will held in “The Café”, lower level of the church where there is easy handicap access and parking. On line condolences may be offered at www.saul-gabauer.com
