Bronko “Beech” Mraovich, 86 of Conway, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 while under the compassionate care of Cura Health, Brighton Township. He was born October 1, 1932 in Ambridge, son of the late Stephen and Anja (Kektic) Mraovich. Bronko was a graduate of Ambridge High School, Class of 1950. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army as an airplane mechanic. Following his honorable discharge, he began a long career as a Lead Supervisor at ARMCO, retiring after 35 years of service. Known as “Beech” by family and friends, he then became an owner-operator of the Quality Care Maintenance Company. His company had the privilege to serve the Avonworth School District for a number of years.
Beech was a guy who embodied the spirit of hard work, dedicating his best to every day’s task at hand. He enjoyed working on cars, helping others, and always taking an opportunity to lend a hand. Beech was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates. A strong man with a softer side he loved his Shih Tzu Allie. Allie was always at his side. They enjoyed daily walks and she was quick to hitch a ride wherever he was going. After her passing, Shelby joined the family, and it wasn’t too long until she had his heart as well.
In addition to his parents, Bronko was preceded in death by his sister: Diane Kingerski and two brothers: Milan “Mitch” Mraovich and Sam Mraovich.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years: Bernadette (Sekanick) Mraovich; one son and daughter-in-law: Andrew (Debbie) Mraovich, Economy Borough; his niece: Cheryl (Kingerski) Grove and nephew: Robert Kingerski and their families; as well as neighbors and special friends.
Friends will be received Friday, August 16, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
Military Honors will be presented by members of the Beaver County Special Unit at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2019 in the funeral home followed by a brief service to remember, honor and celebrate his life. Private entombment will be in the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
