David N. Lodovico Jr., age 48, of Baden, PA passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Born February 7, 1973 he was the loving husband to Nicole (Ratkovich) Lodovico. In addition to being an amazing husband, he was the best father, uncle, brother, son, and friend. David was the most selfless man. He was a proud U.S. Airforce Veteran who served for the Presidential Honor Guard as a guardsman in Washington D.C. Following his time in the military he worked for North Fayette Township as a Fiscal and Administrative Services Director. David was a handy man and would find an endless amount of projects to work on around the house. He was like a book of knowledge and could answer any question you might ask. He loved traveling with his son Dom for hockey tournaments, and was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He loved his F-150 and was a ford mustang fanatic. One of his favorite places was Key West, Florida, and he was a huge Jimmy Buffet fan. His favorite snack was popcorn, which he would make every night to enjoy while watching a movie. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, who were his whole world. In addition to his wife he is survived by his beloved parents, David Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” Lodovico; his loving children, Cassie, Dom, and Rosie Lodovico; brother, Nick (Ashely) Lodovico; brother-in-law, Jason (Holly) Ratkovich; his in-laws, Joe and Carole Ratkovich; his nieces and nephews, Taylor, Ella, Ava, Camryn, Addyson, Mason, and Cody ; and two dogs, Teddy and Max. He is also survived by many more family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sophia Lodovico and his mother-in-law, Sandy Ratkovich. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 4-8pm, and funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27, at 11:00am at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc., 273 Rt. 68, Rochester, PA (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). www.saul-gabauer.com In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. https://wish.org/

Please accept this as my deepest sympathy for the loss of David. In having the opportunity to meet David through municipal work functions, he was always a pleasure to speak with and was always full of information. He was always available to help if there was ever a need! David was a true gentleman and he will be greatly missed.

Sincerely,
Steve Beuter, Carnegie Borough
