David J. Seidler

David was a loving husband and dedicated father of three. He was married to Deborah E. Seidler, and father to Jessica, Mary Ann and Kimberly. He was also a grandfather and a brother. He was the best Dad, and Pappy ever. Dave touched and left his imprint on all those who met him whether they knew him as a family member, a friend, an acquaintance, a karaoke singer, Donald Duck impersonator, or Santa Claus. Dave never met a stranger, ….he was an instant friend to anyone that met him. A gentle giant, if not just in size, but in the size of his personality, and his heart. Like his father before him, he could talk and ingratiate himself to anyone, …instantly; whether in a church, or a bar, or a grocery store checkout line, …didn’t matter. He was most-likely going to speak to you, and you were most-likely going to be better for the experience. He lived his life as an ambassador for kindness, gentleness, and a bit of fun. Dave lived his life as a carefree spirit, who did not allow himself to be constantly bogged down by the day-to-day concerns of monetary gain and social status. He somehow lifted himself above that, to a higher level of living his life for the important things like family, friends, personal relationships, and just being kind to all those he encountered. He volunteered his free time to help others. This world and the lives of those that knew him will now have a hole where a giant of a soul once shined his light on us.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah in 2000.

He is survived by his three daughters; Mary Ann (Augustine) Ndwanyi, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Nelson, and Jessica (Tyler) Thompson; nine grandchildren; Musinga Bayingana, Elizabeth and Edward Ndwanyi, Antonio, Alexander and Andrew deFaria, and Qahirah and Zsamirah Humphrey and Ralph Thompson. Also surviving two great grandchildren; Sylvia deFaria and Malakai Smith, and one brother; Kevin (Kathleen Cleary) Seidler.

As per David's wishes, all services were private and entrusted to the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074.
