

Donald R. "Don" Wenkhous, age 92, of Beaver Falls, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Reformed Presbyterian Home in Pittsburgh. Born November 9, 1929 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Ralph and Edna (Carlson) Wenkhous. Don was a graduate of Geneva College, with a bachelor of science in both Physics and Mathematics. Don received a job immediately out of college at Royston Laboratories in Blawnox, before working as a glass physicist for PPG Industries in Harmarville. He was involved with the Audubon Society and its annual bird count, he enjoyed photography, and loved to work out in the yard. He was a lifelong member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America.
Don is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Miriam (Ramsey) Wenkhous of Beaver Falls; two daughters; Kathy (David) Mohr of Beaver Falls, Becky (Craig) Brown of Delray Beach, Florida; and one son; Joel (Jolene) Wenkhous of Elizabethtown, PA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; Melissa, Christina, Heather, Christopher, Victoria, Nicole, Erin and Stephanie; and eleven great grandchildren; Ashley, Mia, Chloe, Alisha, JJ, Catherine, Ethan, Madisyn, Natalie, Carson and Keydah, as well as three great great grandchildren; Cayden, Asher and Adalyn. He is additionally survived by one brother, Jim, and one sister, Marge Lathom.
As per Don's wishes, all services were private and entrusted to the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., with interment in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
