

Heaven received a very special Angel as she was called home on Saturday, July 15, 2023 after a courageous battle with dementia. Dorothy, or “Nunnie”, as she was affectionately called by many,
was born on November 30, 1930 in Monaca, PA. She was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School,
Class of 1949 and was a member of Saint Augustine Parish, Chippewa, PA. Dorothy worked for W.T. Grant and volunteered as a “Hot Dog Lady” for the lunch program when her children attended Saint Mary’s Catholic School and also the Beaver County Association For The Blind for over 20 years.
On June 18, 1949, Dorothy married her first love, John, who preceded her in death on July 22, 2002. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She always thought of others before herself. Dorothy was an avid reader and word search puzzle solver. She also loved sitting on her porch watching the birds at her feeders. She loved her family and is survived by those who love her and will miss her beyond words, sons, Michael Borghi and Jeffrey
Borghi, daughter, Marcy Knobloch and Daughters and Sons-In-Law, Paula and Frank Durish, Karen Jo
and John Noland, and Rosanne and Cory “Babyface” Bruce, 12 grandchildren and spouses and 18
great-grandchildren. Life will not be the same without her. She is also survived by several nieces
and nephews and a special neighbor, Jim Curenton. She was a Godmother to Janice Anderson, niece,
Sheila Borghi, niece and Arla Borghi, Sister-in-Law, deceased. Also preceding her in death was her mother, Audell Lena McNear Hall, an Aunt and Uncle who raised her, Frances and George Brickner, Grandparents, Baby Sister, Jewel, sister and brother-In-Law, Joan and Elwin Murray, Sons-In-Law, Guy “Skip” Bruce Jr., Donald Burdine, Ronald Knobloch, Daughters- In-Law, Ann Renee Borghi, Linda Borghi and Susan Borghi, Mother and Father-In-Law, Rose and Louis Borghi, Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, Marion and Carmella Borghi, Victor and Ann Borghi and William and Arla Borghi.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc., 273 Rt 68 Rochester, PA 15074. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Monica Roman Catholic Church / St. Augustine Parish 116 Thorndale Drive Beaver Falls, PA 15010 on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester.

Her children would like to thank the 4th Floor nurses and aides at Rochester Manor, Gateway Hospice and Pastor Wayne for the compassionate care given to their Mother.
