Sarah Edith (Orrico) Yeskovich, 95, of Monaca, passed on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Friendship Commons, Brighton Township. Edith was born May 14, 1923 in Beaver Falls, daughter of the late Ralph and Letitia Nancy (Angrisani) Orrico. She retired from the Jewelry Department at Gimbels.
The love and care of her family was most important to Edith. Although she worked outside the home, her home was the center of her attention. Edith was a devoted wife and mother, maintaining the home, tending to the garden and cooking delicious meals. The dinner table was a place of family gathering. Holiday meals at Christmas Eve always featured the traditional food presentation of seven fishes. She was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph Yeskovich, Sr.; her daughter; Nancy Jo (Yeskovich) Nine; her daughter-in-law: Cami Yeskovich; and two brothers: Eugene and Frank Orrico.
Edith is survived by her son: Joseph Yeskovich, Jr., Monaca; three grandchildren and their spouses: Jami (Chris) Johnson, Herndon, VA; Joseph (Heather) Yeskovich, III, Freedom; Mark (Jodi) Hample, Midland; five great grandchildren: Dominic, Ayden, Harley, Kane and Colton.
Friends will be received on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A Blessing Service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Fr. Thomas More, OSB, officiating. Private entombment will be in the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
