

Edward Jack Stewart, 89 of New Sewickley Township, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. He was born February 28, 1928 in Rochester, son of the late Floyd and Jean (Robison) Stewart. Edward proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Missouri and the USS Massey. He was a retired welder who had been employed by DRAVO. He was a kind and unassuming man who enjoyed the simple pleasure of tending to his garden in retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Randy Stewart and a sister: Lenna Colonna.
Edward in survived by loving companion and fiancé of 49 years: Elsie Kay (Bruce) Seevers; five sons: Edward Seevers, Freedom; Jack Stewart, Wellsville, OH; Patrick Seevers and fiancé Patty Eshenbaugh, Raccoon Township; Robert Seevers, Ambridge; Anthony Seevers, Ambridge; five daughters: Patty (James) Berry, Salem, OH; Susie (Scott) Cooper, Wellsville, OH; Georgeann (Keith) Vidovich, Conway; April Fajtak, Ambridge, Melissa Hayes, Ambridge; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters: Rebecca, Marcella and Nancy.
The family is having a private time of gathering on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park with Military Honors by the Beaver County Special Unit. Private entombment will follow. On line condolences may be offered at www.saul-gabauer.com
