Edythe Louise McDonald, 93, of Brighton Township, passed away, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 while under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford. She was born December 12, 1924 in New Brighton, daughter of the late Charles Victor and Della B. (Donley) Fox.
Edythe attended Robert Morris where she studied legal administration. Edythe was employed as a legal secretary with the Law Firm of Panner, Holland and Autenreith, Beaver, PA.
Her pastimes included gardening and yard work, and she was an avid bowler with the Beaver Women’s Bowling League. Edythe enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States and abroad. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Four Mile Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert I. McDonald, December 25, 1993; and her brother: Charles Fox.
Edythe is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Robert Alan (Nancy) McDonald, Brighton Township; four daughters and sons-in-law: Helen (Richard) Tray, Lisbon, OH; Barbara McDonald, Brighton Township; Pamela (Edward) Martin, Scottsdale, AZ; Lyn Munroe, Brighton Township; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law: Della (Robert) Whitten, New Port Richey, FL.
Friends will be received Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A service will be held at 3 p.m., immediately following the visitation with the Rev. Martin Williams, officiating. Private interment will be in the John F. Kennedy Memorial Garden at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
