Emma Francis (Singo) Weyand, 91, of Rochester, passed away, Sunday, April 1, 2018 while under the compassionate care of the staff at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls. She was born December 15, 1926 in Jenners, PA, daughter of the late Charles Ross and Nellie Zoe (Stiffler) Singo.
Emma was a member of the Southside Rochester Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the First Assembly of God Church, Beaver Falls. In her leisure, she enjoyed working around their small family farm attending to the animals and her vegetable garden. In earlier years, Emma crocheted, quilted and was handy at other crafts. Family was most important to Emma as she cared for husband and children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph Henry Weyand; four brothers: Theodore Stiffler; Kenneth Barbour; Calvin Singo and Charles Singo; and four sisters: Mildred Singo; Shirley Jean Singo; Ruth Kline and Alma Young.
Emma is survived by her son: Robert Weyand, Sr., Beaver Falls; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Linda (Richard) Stolar, Ambridge; Shirley Jean Eckles, Rochester; and Zoanne (Don) Chirico, Rochester; nine grandchildren: Timothy Eckles, Cathi Eckles, Charles (Joanne) Chirico, Marcie (Tom) Stefanik, Erin (Joe) Chabot, Robert (Chrissy) Weyand, Jr., Amy (Dennis) Hill, Christina Chirico and Nick Chirico; 12 great grandchildren: Sebastian and Juliana Dwire; Kayla Porupsky; Emma and Charles Stefanik; Xavier and Emersyn Hill; Alexa and Ava Chabot; Dylan and Hunter Weyand and Zoey Grace Chirico; one brother: Robert Singo; two sisters: Delores Pack and Dorothy Deltino.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from noon until 3 p.m., the time of service, at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
