Ethel Edna Wagner

Ethel E. (Hendrickson) Wagner, 93, a lifelong resident of Economy Borough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 09, 2018 in the St. John’s Specialty Care Center. She was born September 3, 1925 in Sewickley, a daughter of the late Stanley and Edna (Augustine-Henchcliff) Hendrickson. She was the wife of 69 years to the late Herbert Lewis Wagner. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Joan Amy Wagner. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald Lewis (Marilyn) Wagner, New Castle, PA; Kenneth Neil (Laura) Wagner, Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren: Scott, Eric, Laura, Mark, Katrina and Emma; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by a brother, Kenneth S. (Marian) Hendrickson and a sister, Marjory Hendrickson Measel. Ethel was a church organist for 60 years at numerous area churches. She was an elder at the former Rochester United Presbyterian Church. Prior to her retirement, she was a longtime employee of JC Penney. Friends will be received on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 until time of service at 7pm in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). I am so sorry for your loss. I have many memories of Wagner family gatherings at Christmas time and during the summer months. Aunt Ethel was always so nice to me and my twin. Joyce L. Myers Shulick, Art Wagner's grandaughter.
