Frank C. Caratelli Sr.

Frank C. Caratelli, Sr., 89, of Baden, passed away, Sunday, November 6, 2011 while under the compassionate care of the staff at Rochester Manor. Frank was born September 10, 1922, in Freedom, son of the late Ralph and Mary (Ricci) Caratelli. He had a great entrepreneurial spirit and was quite fortunate to own and operate his own State Farm Insurance Agency in Baden for many years.

In his leisure, Frank enjoyed reading. He was a member of the Rochester Elks Lodge and Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife: Nellie (Tammaro) Caratelli in 2003; a grandson: Christopher Caratelli; his four brothers: Herman, Lou, Paul and Art; and his sister: Antoinette Sabino.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Frank (Shirley) Caratelli, Jr., Beaver; one daughter: Donna Crispeno, Macedonia, OH; three grandchildren and their spouses: April (Jason) Krepps, Chippewa Township; Michael (Alyssa) Crispeno, Beaver; Brian Crispeno, Beaver; three great grandchildren: Taylor and Sydney Krepps; and Michael Crispeno, III; two sisters: Vera Biros, Conway and Ann Caratelli, Surprise, AZ; also nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
