Frank "Lee" Corfield, age 75, of Freedom, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Heritage Valley Sewickley. Born August 21, 1947, in Sewickley, he was the son of the late William A. and Barbara E. (Weiser) Corfield. Lee was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and he was an active member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 862, a member of American Legion Post #116 and Post #512, and the VFW Post #128. He was also a member of the C-7A Caribou Association. Lee served 18 years with the Big Knob Volunteer Fire Dept., he was DJ for over 25 years, known as 'Lee's Oldies Express.' He was a member of the Triple A Amateur Radio Association (N3IAL), and New Hope Lutheran Church in Economy Boro. Lee enjoyed riding his motorcycle (Patriot Guard Riders) and singing every opportunity he had including two Barbershop Quartets; 'Sweetwater Celebration' and 'A Special Blend.' Lee retired as a bricklayer for the Zinc Corp., after 32 years of service.
Lee is survived by his wife of 52 years; Donna (Carlin) Corfield; one daughter; Tracey (Fabian) Escamilla, two sons; Jason (Carrie) Corfield and Sean (Dawn) Corfield, nine grandchildren; Reno, Olivia, Skylar, Jordan, Siarra, Joey, Nina, David, and Andrew. And he will be sadly missed by his four legged companion Gizmo.
In addition to his parents, Lee is preceded in death by a brother; Donald Corfield.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10am until the time of a funeral service at 12 noon at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Interment, including full military honors, provided by the VVA 862, will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
