

Gary S. Verrico, age 78, of New Brighton, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at his residence. Born January 21, 1947, in Beaver Falls, he was the son of the late Louis 'H' and Mary Verrico. Gary was a former employee of PBI Industries, Jersey's Corners Bar, owned and operated his own Steel Brokerage Firm, Stonecrest Golf Course and Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home and Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. He enjoyed dancing, car cruising in his 64' Ford Galaxie, golfing and hanging with his friends. He was a member of the VFW in Rochester, was Catholic in Faith, but attended Rehoboth Lutheran and VanKirk Lutheran Churches.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol (Shaddock) Verrico, a daughter; Tina (Samuel P.) Verrico-Laure, a granddaughter; Mikayla Verrico-Bryant, bonus grandchildren; Taylor, Sal, and Antonio Laure, a brother, Daniel (Leslie) Verrico, and a sister, Vanessa (Dan) Draper. He is also survived by nieces; Kara Spagnola, and Taylor (Michael) Gaither, nephews; Brett (Stephanie) Spagnola and Daniel (Raelynn) Verrico, grand nephews; Matteo Spagnola and Callen Gaither, grand nieces; Camden Spagnola and Camille Verrico, sisters in law, Connee (Bart) Spagnola and Jayne (Glenn Sisson) Korak.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in laws; James K. and Avonelle Shaddock, his grandmother, Carmella Palumbo, a sister, Valerie Verrico-Pulver and brother in law, James C. Shaddock.
Friends will be received on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 2-4pm and from 6pm until the time of funeral services at 7:30pm at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Carl Sestito, Dr. Rahim Remtulla and Dr. Grace Tarabay from the Hillman Cancer Center, and Pinnacle Hospice, especially Jeff and Jena.
