

Harold D. Frantz, 77 of East Palestine, Oh, formerly of Beaver Falls passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. He was born April 21, 1935 in New Brighton, a son of the late Louis and Mary (McDaniel) Frantz. Prior to retirement he was employed by Westinghouse as a group leader, worked for McCarter Transportation, was the former owner of the B&D Hobby Shop and was also the former co-owner of the Corner Grill. Harold was a member of the Rochester Elks and was a proud Veteran of the United States Army having served in the First Calvary during the occupation of Japan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret M. Frantz; a daughter and two sons, Michael Frantz of Seattle,Wa, Denise McFern of Beaver and Steven Frantz of East Palestine; six grandchildren, Shadda Raines, Sabrina McFern, Shawn McFern, Melissa Frantz, Heather Glessner and Curtis Frantz and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by an aunt and uncle, Bill and Jean George, as well as dear friends for 60 years, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ours.
Friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, April 28th at 1pm in the Four Mile Presbyterian Church, 6078 Tuscarawas Rd, Beaver. Military Honors will be extended by the members of the Beaver County Special Unit at 1pm on Saturday in the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
