Helene M. (Fischer) May

Helene M. (Fischer) May, age 80, of South Beaver Township, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Heritage Valley Beaver. Born January 15, 1945, in Rochester, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Schachern) Fischer. Helene was a member of Saint Augustine Parish in Chippewa, and she sang in the choir at Saint Rose of Lima Church. She was always involved with her grandchildrens activities, never missing a game, function, or performance. Helene also enjoyed playing cards, reading, dancing, and baking.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert May, two daughters; Nancy (Bill) Milligan and Kelly (Douglas) Straley; four grandchildren; Genesis, Trinity, McKenna, and Josh; six sisters; Ann Smith, Valerie (Bill) McMahon, Jane (Rich) Pfeifer, Melanie (Joe) Macre, Katy Sebers, Kristen (Allen) Modro, one brother; Robert (Cathy) Fischer, two sisters in law, Esther (John) Kelly and Margaret May , a brother in law, Gary (Debra) May, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister; Joellen Golden, and brothers in law, Dale Smith and George May.

Friends will be received on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, and a Catholic Blessing service will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 11am at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA, 15074.
