Our beloved angel, Holly Jean Kozar Dofner, 57, of Economy Borough, passed away on November 27, 2018, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long battle with illness. She was born to Nancy (Corry) Kozar and the late Edward Kozar, Jr. on December 25, 1960. As an avid history lover, Holly spent many years of her life working and volunteering at Old Economy Village. It was here she made lifelong friendships and had a chance to express her love of gardening by tending to the gardens of OEV each spring. Holly was a devoted, loving mother and friend to many. She was often found with a piece of cake or candy close at hand. She greatly loved all of her animals, especially her beloved cat, Pia, who was always at her side. Holly loved to host, frequently having holiday gatherings, pool parties, or food for no reason other than to spend time with the people she loved. Friends and family were Holly’s passion and delight. Holly was surrounded by friends and family until the end, with gracious help from her nurse, Alison Stull, and dear friends, JoEllen Bollman, Mary Ann Landis, Sarah Buffington, Pam Mallon, Brenda Emig, and Barbara Haymond, who spent many cherished hours enjoying time with Holly. Holly is survived by her husband of 31 years, Bill Dofner; her mother, Nancy (Corry) Kozar; and brother, Scott Kozar. Also surviving are her beloved daughter, Elizabeth Eisenhauer, Esq. and husband, Troy Eisenhauer; devoted son, Michael Dofner and partner, Brianna Lubic; and cherished nephew, Kris Kozar and wife, Amber Kozar. Holly was predeceased by her father, Edward Kozar, Jr. (1981). The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to close friends and neighbors for their kindness, Gateway Hospice for their caring staff, and Pastor Dr. Rich Grassel for his prayers and thoughtfulness. Friends will be received on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A memorial service celebrating her life will be held immediately after. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Conway Missionary Alliance or the Beaver County Humane Society. Online condolences may be offered at www.saul-gabauer.com.

I met Holly early in 2018 when I was hired as her nurse to help out the family by caring for Holly 3 days a week. All I can say is what a joy it was to know Holly, we quickly became good friends and did things together like cooking new recipes that Holly found for me to make for her, Holly loved her food and to eat, sweets, candy and anything with “pumpkin spice”in it, pancakes, waffles, cookies etc.she loved to entertain, plan big family dinners. I enjoyed everyday with Holly she was a real pistol, she would get an idea or want to do something or decorate somewhere and I said she was like a dog with a bone , she would not give up or change her mind once she was set on something, I learned a lot from Holly and I already miss her everyday. We spent the whole summer in her pool, she loved swimming in the pool. She was like my best friend I loved her dearly and she will be missed so much an I will remember her every Thanksgiving because she passed 2 days after and every Christmas because her Birthday is December 25th. Holly looked so forward to her daughter's wedding in September that she ordered 3 different dresses before she the one to wear. The included photo was the “princess” dress that she tried on for the wedding. Holly was so beautiful inside /outside I will miss my friend.
