She was the greatest grandmother in the world to Kahli (Spencer), Madison (Nate), and Liam Dalbow. Irene was loved by all who knew her. She was the embodiment of compassion and strength. Her legacy is that she loved her family fiercely, selflessly, and above all else on earth. Irene always had a smile, a hug, and a baked good ready for anyone she met. Her apple pie and chocolate cake could make the sun rise in the morning. She lived a simple life and her joy came from making those around her happy. Irene worked at the former Hill's Department Store in Baden, PA for 15 years. Music was one of the things she loved most in life, and she could you sing every word to any Frank Sinatra song. In his famous words, she truly "did it her way".
Irene's family would like to thank caretaker Erin Brown, as well as hospice nurses Bobbi and Melissa from Allegheny Health Network Hospice for their compassionate service. There will be no public viewing, but a private ceremony will take place at Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home with interment to follow.
