

James H. "Bucky" Coburn III, age 80, of New Brighton, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 3, 2022 . James was born August 13, 1941, in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Eva Mae (Radcliffe) and James H. Coburn Jr. Bucky worked for Westinghouse/Cutler Hammer where he was a welder / milling machine operator until his retirement in 2002. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, a member of Steffin Hill Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder, a Deacon and a member of the choir. He was also a member of the Marion Hill Sportsman's Club, and the Big Knob Antique Tractor Club. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, walking, and most of all, he enjoyed his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of over 54 years; Virginia "Ginny" (Holewski) Coburn; two daughters; Lisa (Doug) Kosanovich, Christine (Dave) Sacer, and one son; James H. (Dawn) Coburn IV. Also surviving are two grandchildren; Lainey Kosanovich and Nicholas Kosanovich.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister; Edna Jane St. John (2019).
Funeral services, including full military honors will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 2pm SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Visitation will follow funeral services and military honors until 6pm. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Grane Hospice for their tremendous care and support.
