Joan M. (Cornelius) Albanese, age 93, of New Brighton, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls. Born April 19, 1933, in Canadian, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Marguerite (Owens) Cornelius. Joan was a retired secretary for the New Brighton School District, and she owned the 'Tommy Shop' in New Brighton on 3rd Avenue.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Thomas Albanese, a son; John Albanese, two grandsons; Tommy (Stacey), and Michael Albanese, a great grandson; Nico Albanese, and a daughter in law, Anita Albanese.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son; Tom Albanese.
As per Joan's wishes all services were private and untrusted to the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074. Burial to follow at Grove Cemetery in New Brighton.
