Joseph M. Albert

Joe, a man who everyone loves and everyone always will, left us on March 3, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Joseph Michael Albert, age 72 of Hopewell Township, was born January 25th 1951 to the late Dan and Victoria (Ferris) Albert.

Joe was a retired steel worker for J&L Steel Aliquippa, PA. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was proud of his heritage as a member of the Aliquippa Lebanese Club. He was an avid sports fan who cheered on the Steelers, the Aliquippa Quips and the Pittsburgh Panthers. Joe kept up to date on all the news and politics of the day, which made for great discussions over coffee with his many friends. He was a talented gardener who grew delicious tomatoes which he shared with family and neighbors.

Joe will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia “Susan” Albert, his son, Michael Patrick (Angela) Albert of Des Moines, Iowa, his two grandchildren, Eleanor, Henry Albert, two sisters, Toni (Jim) Felouzis of Baden, Debbie (John) Peck of Hopewell , brother-in-law, Joe (Teresa) Fausti of Economy and sisters-in-law, Gloria (Larry) Fabrey, Lisa (Michael) Noel, and Kathy Albert. Joe was preceded in death by this two brothers, Bill and Daniel Albert.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church/Mary Queen of Saints Parish in Hopewell Township. Interment will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
