Joyce E. (Wilson) Lint, 85, of Baden, passed away peacefully under the compassionate care of the staff at North Hills Health and Rehabilitation, Wexford and the nurses of Caring Hospice. She was born February 20, 1930 in Altoona, PA, daughter of the late Henry Sheldon and Nelda (Homan) Wilson.
All of her great motherly attributes centered on the nurturing of her family. The smell of her homemade pastries, breads, rolls and cookies often filled the air of their home. She enjoyed baking for every family occasion. Joyce was also talented at sewing, crocheting and small wood crafting. All of the children and grandchildren cherish some handiwork item lovingly made by her. Whether it is a Raggedy Ann and Andy doll, doily or Christmas ornament, everyone has an heirloom that will stir fond memories from generation to generation. Joyce was a member of the New Alliance Church, Conway.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years: Earl Lint, Sr.
Joyce is survived by her six children and spouses: Shelda (Charles) Rudich, Economy Borough; Linda Spratley, Baden; Earl (Denise) Lint, Jr., Freedom; Cindy (Randy) Tetrick, Baden; Edward Lint, Baden; Jeffrey Lint, IndependenceTownship; 15 grandchildren: George Spratley; Gymmie Campbell; Glenn Spratley; Charles “Chuckie” Rudich; Chris Rudich; Eric Rudich; Sara Rudich; Missy Kemerer; Ian Lint; Randy Tetrick; Ellie Tetrick; Danny Tetrick; Keith Shillingburg; Crystal Perrone and Todd Goode; 17 great grandchildren and the arrival of her first great great grandchild she was so proudly expecting to welcome in July; and her dear sister: Bernice Oaks of Baden.
Friends will be received Friday, May 8, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum).
