Joyce Evelyn Murphy, 70, of New Brighton, passed away on Wednesday March 1, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Beaver, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 18, 1952 in New Brighton to the late Stewart and Evelyn (Whittle) Teets.
Joyce and her late husband James, owned and operated Creative Hands in East Palestine. She attended the First Church of God Church in New Brighton, and she enjoyed playing cards, her house plants, watching nature, and was an animal lover.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma.
Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Danielle (Allen) Smail of New Brighton, Melissa Murphy of Koppel, her son, Craig (Brandy) Murphy of East Palestine, two step children, Bryan and Jeff Murphy, five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, her two brothers, Gary (Volynda) Teets of New Brighton, and Bill (Joanne) Teets of Rochester.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, James Murphy on November 13, 2020, and her brother, Donald Teets.
A life celebration service will be conducted on a later date. Arrangement have been entrusted to the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc. 273 Rt. 68 Rochester, PA 15074.
