Justin Andrew Stauffer

September 18, 1981April 4, 2019

On the evening of April 4, 2019, Justin Andrew Stauffer, 37, of New Castle, passed away at UPMC Jameson from natural causes. He was born, September 18, 1981 in Beaver, son of John (Jack) Dennis Stauffer and Joyce (Fedorko) Stauffer. Justin was a big teddy bear who adored his daughter, Harley more than words can ever express. He was that joking kid that kept that silliness even into his manhood. He had a smile that was so big and bright and a laugh that was as hardy as that big smile. Justin was a graduate of the New Castle School of Trades and was working in Youngstown, Ohio. His passion was his collection of Transformers and oh what a collection he was building. The laughter, the smiles, the big loud laughs will be missed by all. The loss of a family member is never easy and yet tonight as the family said their goodbyes to Justin, the pride of what he was doing by donating his organs, tissue and corneas to those in need, we can’t even begin to share that feeling. The process is not easy at the time of loss but tonight our journey taught us how valuable this gift of giving our organs is to so many throughout our county. Although we may never see or know his recipients, we know his journey is not over and our hearts travel within him and through him and others. Justin is survived by his parents, Jack (Caren) Stauffer and Joyce Stauffer; his daughter, the light of his life, Harley Rae Stauffer (also known by Daddy as Monkey); Sisters Courtney (Jeff) Carter, Christi Bryant; Brothers Ian Stauffer and Brad (Sandy) Knight; Significant Other Heather Brownlie; nephews Jacob and Zachary Bryant, Aiden Carter; nieces Deanna Knight and Emma Carter as well as several Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by his Brother, Dean E. Knight; Cousin Mitch Fedorko; Grandparents Smith and Elizabeth Stauffer, John and Irene Fedorko, and AJ Williams. We would be remised if we also didn’t mention his dog, Lola. Funeral arrangements are being handled by SAUL-GABAUER FUNREAL HOME, INC., with all services to be private for his family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Woman’s Shelter in New Castle or the City Rescue Mission in New Castle. Today we said goodbye to a special Son, Brother, Daddy, Uncle and Significant Other, but it is only for a while. You will always be alive in our hearts and in our souls. If we listen closely, we will hear that hefty laugh and voice coming down through the clouds. We will hear it through your daughter too. So, till we meet again…. we are listening! Dear Stauffer family,

I want to offer my sympathies to your family in this sad time. Justin was one of my favorite students, so sweet, funny and endearing. One funny memory is that I always told him I was used to yelling at Justins because my son is also named Justin.

Take care,

Dear Joyce and family,

I am heartbroken to learn of the loss of your son Justin. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other, but you will always be one of my favorite friends from high school and hold a special place in my memories.

I know there’s nothing anyone can say to help, but know that I am carrying you in my prayers and in my heart.
