Lewis A. Neely, 90, of Raccoon Township, passed on May 29, 2019. He was born July 23, 1928 in Sewickley, son of the late Floyd and Fannie (Wile) Neely. Lewis proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of Monaca American Legion Post 580.
He retired from Jones & Laughlin Steel after 32 years of service. Lewis enjoyed gardening and was a true “Mr. Fix-it”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Delores Ann (Creese) Neely; step-dad: Frank Smith; two daughters: Kathy Sephakis and Carol Kelly; brothers: Roy, Dallas, David, Glen and Charles; sisters: Ruth, Jean, Alvira and Evelyn.
Lewis is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Shirley (Bob) Kelly, Raccoon Township; Diane (Alan) Wenzig, Center Township; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; son-in-law: Harry Kelly, Rochester; his brother and sister-in-law: Elmer (Joan) Neely, Cranberry Township; his sister: Erma Smith, Sewickley; brother-in-law: Raymond (Wilda) Creese, Georgetown, PA; sister-in-law: Hazel (Ken) Schuring, Franklin Park, PA; extended family and friends.
Friends will be received today, Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Military Honors will be presented by members of the Beaver County Special Unit, in the funeral home at 4 p.m. followed by a brief service with the Rev. Robert P. “Bob” Saul, officiating.
