Linda J. Klitz, 82, mother of two, wife, and grandmother of one, of Columbiana, OH, and previously of Chesterland, OH and Simpsonville, SC, passed away on July 2, 2026.
Linda was born December 9, 1943, one of four daughters (Geraldine, Linda, Shirley, and Vera) of the late Norman and Emma Hummel of New Brighton, PA. Linda worked for many years at the township offices in Chesterland, OH, in the business office at Laurel School in Shaker Heights, OH, and in the business office at the Beachwood, OH school district.
Linda was preceded in her passing by her husband of 57 years, Robert G. Klitz, and her sisters Geraldine Samek and Vera Forsythe. Surviving is her sister, Shirley Murphy, of Beaver Falls, PA, daughter Lisa Klitz of Canfield, OH, and son Timothy Klitz, daughter-in-law Jane Caldwell, and granddaughter Erin Klitz of Washington, PA.
Linda’s ashes will be placed next to her husband’s in a niche at the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum in Rochester, PA.
