Lonna Lee Skolnekovich

Lonna Lee Skolnekovich, 74, of Aliquippa, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 following an eight year illness. She was born March 22, 1941 in Rochester, daughter of the late Cecil Blair and Elizabeth (Rarey) MacKenzie. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Lonna was an avid Steelers fan; and also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. She was a fun loving person who cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, the time spent with them as well as other family members..

In addition to her parents, Lonna was preceded by a son: John Blair Skolneckovich and her son-in-law: Mark Rickel.

She is survived by her husband John Skolnekovich, with whom she would have celebrated 56 years of marriage this September; her dear mother-in-law: Dorothy Mae Skolnekovich, Beaver; three daughters: Sharri Rickel; Joy Bogardus and her companion Bill Hinderliter; Johna Sue Skolnekovich and her companion Bryan Bach; all of Meadville, PA; nine grandchildren: Sharon Duricic and her husband Mike; Samantha Rickel; John Rickel; Heather Sheckler and her husband Shawn; Steven Bogardus; Justina Hendrix; Dylan Rerko; Lindsey Rerko; Angelina Rerko; and eight great grandchildren; her twin sister: Donna Bronsky; sisters: Betty Mae Colangelo and husband Anthony “Bugsy”; Audrey Underwood and husband Stan; Gladys Simmons and husband Chuck; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law through marriage; nieces, nephews and extend family.

In honor of her wishes, cremation arrangements are by SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., at Sylvania Hills Memorial park.
