Luella June Brandt Meiter

Luella June Brandt Meiter was welcomed into heaven with her family by her side peacefully on Wednesday Evening, October 2, 2019 in Beaver Falls, PA after an extended illness. She was 88 Years old.

The large double oak swing in the back yard we shared with our mother, grandmother and great grandmother over hundreds of hours of times, sharing our lives, our hopes, dreams, sorrows and just shooting the breeze, swings empty now.

It is with profound sadness we release our loved one; however; we believe in the promise that we will be reunited in heaven with her again.

Born on August 18, 1931 she was one of eight children born to the late Robert H. and Clara P. Brandt of Economy Borough. Luella and her late Husband Edward M. along with their Son Edward J. Meiter built a business together in North Sewickley Township.

Luella possessed the warmest smile and was beloved to anyone who crossed her path. She was a selfless, loving woman whose greatest gift to everyone she met was love. Luella nurtured her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren throughout her lifetime and instilled in them integrity, honesty, grace and reverence for life with love and compassion for all others.

Along with her husband, Edward M. Meiter, who died 3 years ago, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn, “Sis” and brother in law, (Al) Borro, Dale Brandt, Albert Brandt, sister in law Dorothy and Husband Paul Milchalk, sister in law Norma Jean Ford and brothers in law Bill and Bob Meiter, and Victor Nerti.

My favorite memory of Luella, was when she and Ed Sr. 'Big Ed'; were teasing me about one day wanting to get married. I was just a teenager then, but I remember how they looked at each other. I didn't get it at the time, but I came to realize what that 'look' meant. A beautiful lady in every way. My sincere condolences to the family. Carl Jr.

Bev - I was so sorry to read of your mom’s passing. We have my mom here in VA with us, so we try to keep up with those at home for her. I did not know your mom was a Brandt - I also have Brandts in my family, my Grandma Funkhouser was a Brandt. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time. - Linda
