Marilyn J. (Dillon) Bruce, age 87, of New Sewickley Township, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Grove in Harmony. Born August 23, 1934 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Roy E. and Dorothy Mae (Stanley) Dillon. She loved working with ceramics, bowling, and gathering with her local card club. Nothing brought her more joy than attending the birthday parties of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of over 67 years, Guy Bruce of New Sewickley Township; four sons; Tracy (Linda), Jeffrey (Karen), Eric (Dee), and Cory (Rosanne) Bruce. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a very close and special friend whom she considered a daughter; Brenda Werling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Guy Bruce Jr. in 2005, one brother, Ronald Dillon and his wife Carolyn, and one sister Bonita Boles and her husband Charles.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8pm, and funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA (adjacent to the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). www.saul-gabauer.com.
