

Marjorie May Davenport, 86, of Beaver Falls, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 17, 2015, while under the compassionate care of the staff at Providence Health, Beaver Falls. She was born August 22, 1929 in Homewood (Beaver Falls), PA, daughter of the late Lawrence and Myrtle (Joy) Chapman.
She retired from the Dietary Department of the Medical Center. Marjorie was known for her delicious home-cooked meals and baking everyone’s favorite desserts. Family and friends were always eager to enjoy eating her homemade goodies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Davenport in 1970; her sister: Hazel Baker; and four brothers: Daniel, David, William and Richard Chapman.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law: Daryl Davenport, Mahaffey, PA; Brian “Tim” and Connie Davenport, North Sewickley Township; five grandchildren: Beverly (Christopher) Book; Daryl (Danielle) Davenport; Jason (Amy) Davenport; Brian D. Davenport; Diane (Henderson) Park; nine great grandchildren: Trevor Park; Brittany Book; Zachary Book; Daryl Davenport III; Alexis Davenport; Matthew Davenport; Lakyn Davenport; Makayla Daveport; Wesson Davenport; and her three sister: Jean, Helen and Edie.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Her funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 in the funeral home. Private interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
