Mary "Midge" Catherine Drumheller

Mary “Midge” Catherine Drumheller, 93, of Valencia, PA, formerly of Erie and Tequesta, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at her residence. Mary was born July 20, 1922 in New York, NY, daughter of the late John R. and Sadie Louise (Laird) Fulk.

She was a graduate of the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia, where she received her education to become a registered nurse. She married John F. Drumheller in September of 1944. In addition to nurturing her family of four children, Mary was an integral staff member of her husband’s pediatric medical practice in Erie.

Following their retirement, they were fortunate to make their home in Tequesta, FL until advancing years had them return to Pennsylvania to be near family.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by an infant daughter Sally and her sister Miriam Moore.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 71 years: Dr. John F. Drumheller; her daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Steve Madeja, Evans City, PA; three sons and daughters-in-law: John “Jack” and Fran Drumheller, Jr., Port Orange, FL; Scott and Kristi Drumheller, Ponce Inlet, FL; Brad and Robin Drumheller, Erie, PA; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In honor of her wishes, cremation arrangements were by SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC. at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester, PA.

A memorial service to celebrate her life was held at the Arbors of St. Barnabas, Valencia. In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Red Cross or to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Mary C. Drumheller.
