Mary E. Fabian

Mary E. Fabian, 65, passed away on January 1, 2026 at UPMC Jamison in New Castle. Mary was born in Beaver Falls on May 23, 1960 to the late Louis Poerio and Clara Sadler Poerio. Mary resided in Wampum, Pennsylvania.

Mary was catholic by faith. She held a record of the most sit-ups for a woman with over 7,000. Mary loved martial arts and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going for walks, especially walks on the beach when she was able. She also loved her dogs, and lately had been showing extra love to Kodiak. She never met a stranger and would instantly become friends with all she came in contact with. She was a true "people person." Mary was an OR Nurse at Allegheny General Hospital for many years. She is survived by her Husband: Bob S. Fabian, whom she married on July 12, 1977. Also surviving is her Daughter: Erin (Paul) Bellan of Patterson Heights, PA, 2 Grandchildren: Dr. Emily Bellan and Ethan Bellan, both of Patterson Heights, PA, 2 Sisters: Francis Quednau of Tampa, FL and Debra May of Centerville, VA, 1 Brother: Mark Poerio of Whiteville, NC and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents is 1 Brother: James Poerio.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home and Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester, PA with her service being held at 1:00 PM with Father Ben Barr as celebrant.

Her final resting place is Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, located at 273 Route 68, Rochester.
