Mary L. Hacker

Mary L. (Lasky) Hacker, age 93, of Valencia, PA, formerly of New Sewickley Township, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at her daughter's residence. Affectionately known as 'Muzzy', born August 20, 1932, in Aliquippa, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Mazur) Lasky. She graduated from Aliquippa High School in 1950, then graduated from Nursing School in 1953 with an RN degree. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church in New Brighton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Richard T. Hacker (2018), a granddaughter; April Hacker; a daughter in law, Marian Hacker, six brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by a son, Richard C. Hacker, two daughters; Mary Dale (Ted) Waddell, and Karen (Scott) Acree, six grandchildren; Amanda (Shawn), Richard P., Ted 'T.J.' (Rachael), Trish (Matt), Kelly (Lauren) and Kyra, and five great grandchildren; Grayson, Mila, Leyton, Adelei and Torben.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2026 at 11am at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15072. Interment will immediately follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

She often said that spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren made her feel young and nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by the people she loved.

Proud of her Polish heritage, she never missed an opportunity enjoy a good Polka, make pierogies, share stories and celebrate the traditions that meant so much to her. She had a sweet tooth for chocolate, adored her Chihuahuas and had a wonderful ability to make people feel welcome. Her home was a place where laughter came easily, memories were made and family always came first.

She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, kindness, strength and family. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.
