Mary F. Weiler

Mary Frances Weiler passed away peacefully on Monday, January 17, 2011 in Heritage Valley Hospital, Brighton Township, and two days after her 91st birthday. In her faith she was confident that He who began a good work in her has carried it on to completion.

She was born January 15, 1920, in Monaca, PA, the daughter of the late S.W. and Gertrude (Groetch) Billigen.

Mary was an exceptional homemaker, mother and grandmother. As a homemaker, she devoted many years to giving care to her mother and father. She then began a second career as a talented retail salesperson for Sears at the Beaver Valley Mall until her retirement. Mary was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Church, Center Township.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph A. Weiler, on May 11, 2006; her brother, Edward T. Billigen, on May 23, 2001, and nephews David H. Folland and Thomas J. Billigen.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law to whom she was devoted and always gave wise, thoughtful and prayerful counsel and support: Theodore J. Woelfel and Robert W. and Adriana Woelfel, all of Center Township; two loving grandchildren: Rob Woelfel, Center Township; Eric Woelfel and his wife Alyssa; and her beautiful great granddaughter: Addison Adriana Woelfel, all of West Grove, Philadelphia; her sister and great friend: Alma Folland, Vienna, VA; nephews and nieces: Greg and Diane Billigen, California; Jeff Billigen, Alaska; Carol Ann and Bob Frank, Center Township; Mark and Shelly Folland, Olean, NY; Christine and Sean Dorhercy of Vienna, VA; Ross Brown and Lori Brown, both of Monaca; great niece Kim Frank, Vienna, VA, who always remembered Mom in her letters.

Friends will be received today, January 19, 2011, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). A memorial service will be held during the evening of visitation at 7 p.m. with The Rev. Fr. Joseph Kleppner and The Rev. Stephen F. Vesolich, officiating. Private interment will be in the John F. Kennedy Memorial Garden at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

Mother’s importance and value to our family cannot be adequately expressed in these few sentences. She lived a long, rich life and yet is gone too soon. Her sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren express once again their love, devotion and great sadness at her passing.
