

Norma retired from the Bell Telephone Company as a business manager with over 30 years of service. She was a member of the Bell Pioneers Club. She was also a member of the Rochester Women’s Club and a Past President of the Unionville American Legion Post 512 Auxiliary.
Family was most important to Norma. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Norma was a friendly, kind and compassionate person who was always sensitive to the needs of others. She was a person of faith, nurtured in the Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded by two brothers: Fredrick and Larry Swager; one sister: Laverne Hanshaw.
She is survived by her husband: Robert “Bob” Hardman, Rochester; two sons and a daughter-in-law: David and Abbi Pawelkoski, West Palm Beach, FL; Michael Pawelkoski, Milton, FL; her daughter and son-in-law; Melinda and Terry Caldwell, North Sewickley Township; seven grandchildren: Sara, Jennifer, Aaron, Robert, Tekla, Michael and Lonnie; five great grandchildren: Taylor, Ryan, Alex, Nicholas and Lindsey; five sisters and three brothers-in-law: Myrtle (Manuel) Sanchez, Brighton Township; Nancy Barnes, Coraopolis; Emily (John) Davis, Groves, TX; twins sisters, Joan (Leland) Altman, Center Township; Jean Altman, Beaver Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Friends will be received Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 848 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Her funeral service will in the funeral home at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Private interment will follow in the John F. Kennedy Garden at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
