Olive M. (Blume) Chewning, age 90, of Conway, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Celebration Villa in Chippewa Township. Born on the 4th of July in 1935, in Sewickley, she was the daughter of the late Ervin and Louise (Gatehouse) Blume. She was a member of Sewickley United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late James R. Chewning, a daughter, Karen L. Durst, and three brothers; Joseph, William and Barry Blume.
She is survived by two sons; James A. and Dan R. (Connie Decker) Chewning, four grandsons; Jimmy, and Daniel A. Chewning, Trevor Smith and R.J. Durst, three granddaughters; Dottie Bradel, Amanda Chewning and Courtney Durst, and one sister, Dana Jean Yant.
Friends will be received on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10am until the time of funeral services at 12 noon at the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074. Interment will follow at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
