Patricia A Horter

Patricia A. (McClane) Horter, age 88, of New Brighton, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, under the care of Suncrest Hospice. Born September 3, 1937, in New Brighton, she was the youngest daughter of the late Patrick and Gladys (Holsinger) McClane. She graduated from New Brighton in 1955, and was a class officer, serving on the reunion committee, she was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in New Brighton where she served in the Bell Choir. Patricia was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, she was the past president of the New Brighton Football Mothers, always involved in her daughters' cheerleading, and was a band parent. She was a past president of the New Brighton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, beadwork, needlepoint, painting, embroidering, reading and working with stained glass. She continued taking embroidering classes until her passing.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years this coming August 11th, Richard E. Horter Sr., two daughters; Polly Jo (Bob) Kostelnik, Jennifer (Chet) Bonner, one son; Richard E. 'Jake' Horter Jr., six grandchildren; Jake (Samantha), Jessica (Clayton), Kyle, Kodi, Kennedy and Jadelyn, six great grandchildren; Everly, Gavin, Etta, Della, Rowan and Sadie, nieces, Becky, Jodi, Lorie and Tammy, and a nephew, Larry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Lou (Norman) Hagerman, a sister in law; Donna Mae (George) Derbaum, and a nephew Jimmy.

As per Patricia's wishes, all services were private and entrusted to the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074.
