Raymond A. Shutey, 88 of Rochester Twp, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014. He was born January 8, 1926 in Fallston, a son of the late Nicholas and Anna Shutey. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Antonette “Toni” (Cellini) Shutey. Loving father of Raymond (Deborah) Shutey, Karen (Javid) Sheik, Diane Shutey, Doris Kozak and Frank Shutey; grandfather of Kyle (Christine) Shutey and great grandfather of Hunter Raymond Shutey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Nicholas Shutey and three sisters, Emma Jasper, Margaret Kisic and Alice Shutey.
Prior to his retirement, Raymond worked for J & L Steel. He was a member of St. Cecilia Church and in his free time enjoyed gardening and farming.
Friends will be received Sunday from 4-8 pm in the Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc. (Adjacent to the mausoleum at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park), 724-728-2456. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am in St. Cecilia Church, Rochester.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond’s memory may be made to the St. Cecilia Christian Mothers or the Beaver County Humane Society.
