Richard Joseph Elphinstone

Richard Joseph Elphinstone, born on May 9, 1951, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026. He was dealing with a brain tumor and lung cancer this year. We will remember him as a loving husband and good father and grandfather who loved to play his violin and guitars. He loved watching westerns like Yellowstone and others because he loved horses. Sitting on the back porch he would play his violin as he looked out into his large backyard with our dogs, Noya and Belle.

He is preceded by his father, Donald Richard Elphinstone who passed away when he was around 14. His mom who was from Troy Hill, Rita Marie (Thompson) Elphinstone passed away on January 9, 2004. His brother Donald P. Elphinstone passed away on January 29, 2022. Both Richard and his brother Donald were avid Steeler fans.

Left to honor his life is his sister Debra (Elphinstone) Kramer, his wife Theresa Annette (Ranaldi) Elphinstone, his two children and their better halves Richard Frederic Elphinstone with wife Tina Renee (Mouridian) and Annette Marie Elphinstone with Fiance Eric Bentz, and his two grandchildren Harley Rose Elphinstone and Roman Frederic Elphinstone.

Friends and family are invited to join on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in Saul-Gabauer Funeral Home, Inc. at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park from 2 to 4 pm, and 6 to 8 pm, at 273 Route 68, Rochester, PA 15074 and a service will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 am followed by burial at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
